Kaylin Kaupish grew up in Richmond, Virginia and went to Virginia Commonwealth University. There she received her Bachelor’s degree in English with minors in Writing and Italian Studies. While in school she interned for Blackbird, an online literary magazine. She also joined the university literary journal, Amendment, eventually going on to be its executive editor. After graduating Kaylin moved to New York City to pursue a career in publishing and editing. Her writing is focused around many topics, including the city of her childhood, the sibling relationship, the desert setting, and the juxtaposition of nature within the urban environment.

She has been previously published in Quail Bell Magazine, Focus Camera’s Wavelength, Color Me Super, New York Film Academy, and Minetta Review.

  1. I like this story and as a VCU Library Board member I am very familiar with the contacts mentioned in the bio and support those elements of the university.Its a great school and the Englisg dept and poetry people are outstanding Cheers Scott
